Rich Internet Architecture (RIA) is a combination of technologies and design, that will create a positive user experience, leading to an accelerated achievement of business goals. Some toolsets and technologies include DOJO, (AJAX framework) GWT, (Google AJAX framework – defacto), ICEFACES, (Commercial version of Java server framework in AJAX - jsf), AJAX ANYWHERE (works with Java server frameworks), Flash 9 and related Flash-based technologies, Silverlight, (MS Version of Flash) FLEX2, (Next version of Flash – dynamic app) and more.
Rich applications greatly enhance visitors Web experience. RIAs provide a range of capabilities — like improved data visualization and streamlined processes — that go beyond the limitations generally imposed by HTML and other standard web technologies, and will streamline multi-step processes, and rapidly sort large, multivariable data sets, - allowing users to simply perform complex functionality with multiple variables. High-impact RIAs are rapid adoption and productivity tools that enable complex online interactions like product configurations and single-screen transactions.
The web is changing, and RIAs exist as an important part of an overall Web experience strategy, which include the development, design, and programming of these technologies. It is our key RIA goal, to provide fast and intuitive user experiences, rapid appreciation and adoption of interfaces, improved ease of use, and to drive higher conversion rates and online order transaction rates.
