Marketing Strategy = Blogs = Strategic Marketing

A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website or a part of a website – where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary), displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images and links to other blogs, web pages and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although many focus on photographs, videos or audio. The word blog can also be used as a verb, meaning adding an entry to a blog. Several blog search engines can be used to search blog content (also known at the blogosphere), such as Blogdigger, Feedster and Technorati. Google Trends allows the tracking and comparison of the popularity of search terms over time. Or, collect articles in social bookmarking communities like del.icio.us and Ma.gnolia. Or, generate communities for their own audience with services like MyBlogLog.

Ultimately the most important part of your marketing mix today is your position on the Internet through the search engines. IF your customers can’t find you, they will find someone else. Blogs are closely looked at by search engines, and the algorithms used by search engines like the ever changing content of Blogs. Additionally, visitors like that the content shows a more worldly perspective using user generated information, versus what could be perceived as bias based on the site. User generated content is generally referred to as Web 2.0.

A variety of different systems can be used to create and maintain blogs. Brilliant Blue can help you with dedicated web applications to eliminate the need for bloggers to manage this software. With Brilliant Blue web interfaces, these systems can allow travelers to blog from anywhere on the Internet, and allow users to create blogs without having to maintain their own server.

Brilliant Blue will create custom blog “destinations” that are far superior than a traditional website for achieving search engine rankings, giving the consumer what they need to make a buying decision, leveraging your assets and enabling superior customer service, enhanced brand perception and customer credibility.

Until now, companies who wanted to include blogging as a marketing initiative, have turned to limited free blogging services like Blogger or Easy2Blog for their blogging needs. These services however include other organizations advertising surrounding your message, some of which may distract the visitor, and diminish your brand. Brilliant Blue will create an integrated Web 2.0 platform specifically designed to maximize every opportunity for small businesses and organizations to achieve stellar search engine rankings, leverage their existing content and relationships and control the brand.

Who can benefit from incorporating a blog on your site? Any organization or company seeking to reach a large audience, expand their global reach, leverage existing information assets, integrate static and rich media, get improved search engine rankings – and who wants to sell more product or services, generate and retain new members or customers, or simply get their message out.

Our solution isn’t just a blog…it’s a strategy that results in bringing the market to your product or service, not the other way around. Every strategic solution begins with a plan.

  • Review your business model, your current and future business goals and establish the fastest path to Return on Investment (ROI).

  • Perform a comprehensive review of your existing brand….content, resources, data and media.

  • Analyze the competitive landscape to get inside the mind of the “searcher”, find holes in your current strategy (and the strategies of your competition) and determine the most cost-effective strategies.

  • Customize a short and long term plan of action to capitalize on your strengths, consumer search trends and exploit the weaknesses of your competition.
